Black Community Contribution
Today brings us the question, are blacks without jobs providing substance for the community? I think in order to answer this, the first thing to look at is the percentage of businesses owned by each race in America. I’m sure you’ve guessed it, according to Pew Research Center of Analysis data from 2023 shows Blacks represented in this category are nearly last coming in at a whopping 3.4%, the ONLY other 2 races falling below being American Indian (.8%) and Native Hawaiian (.2%). Not to mention, according to American Council on Education’s last reports based in 2022, shows Blacks are 12.5% of America, while American Indian lands at .8% of America and Native Hawaiian lands at .3% of America’s population. Notice anything that is peculiar? Does anything stand about that? Hold that thought, now let’s talk about why that may be?
